Multilingual Kids’ Library
We are happy to invite you to KNIBROBOOKI™ – a Multilingual Kids’ Library. Here you can find plenty of Russian books, fewer English books, and some examples in other languages (we are still filling this shelf). KNIBROBOOKI™ is a non-commercial project that aims to promote reading among kids. Choose a book, borrow it, and start reading!
Is it free?
Unfortunately, it isn’t. Though the project is non-commercial, we still charge a library fee: 10 PLN per calendar month (cash only). These funds will be used to maintain the library and buy new books. The library is open during the school year, from September 1st to June 30th.
In addition, we require a deposit of 100 PLN for each borrowed book, cash only. The deposit is fully refundable, provided that the book is returned in its original condition and on time.
Where is the library located?
Our collection is partially available in Kosmuz workshop (os. Centrum D 1) and can be viewed on-site. You can also select books online via the websites above and collect them from the workshop by scheduling a specific pickup time.
What is the loan quota and period?
You can borrow up to 3 books for a period of 4 weeks. If you return a book late, a fee of 1 PLN for every 2 days will be deducted from your deposit for each book.
Didn’t finish your book? Message us before it’s due! If nobody else has reserved it, you can extend your loan once for another 4 weeks.
How can I register and borrow the books?
- Fill out the form, provide your personal details and accept the library rules
- Select a photo of the book and send it to: knibrobooki@gmail.com.

- Upon pickup, pay for your library card (10 PLN per calendar month) and prepare the deposit (100 PLN per book) – cash only
- Get the foto of borrowed books to your e-mail with a return date
- Read the books!
- Return the books in original condition and on time. Get back your deposite 🙂
- To keep using the library, renew your card monthly for 10 PLN. Alternatively, you can stop your subscription and return whenever you like by filling out the form again!
What if a child damages a book?
Please treat the books with care. Some of our book are vintage and we want them to serve to the readers for as long as possible.
We know kids will be kids, so please keep an eye on them while reading. Please ensure that the books are kept free of drawings, food stains, or torn pages.
For minor damage, we will assess the damage individually and deduct an appropriate fee from your deposit.
If a book is badly damaged, destroyed or lost, the deposit will not be refunded.
Alternatively, you can purchase the exact same book yourself and bring it to the library to get your deposit back.
